* cough *

Julia sent me some new titles. Anyone else have any? I am sure there must a song title out there called "Die, Thread, Die!" ... maybe that was just a bad B-movie I dreamt of this weekend. I don't know.

Put My Little Shoes Away
Traditional

Live performance – 2005-10-06 Troubadour, London

The band has sung this song several times. I posted the lyrics in "The Lyrics are Here" thread back in Oct 2005.

I love when the band sing these old traditional folk songs.

The first chorus sounds like "I Know It's In Me, Now". The second chorus is not so distinct and does sound like "I Know What's In Me Now". Maybe he sings both?

I love the little asides. "It's bibical." "Second coming".

Yeah, the Club Passim show was recorded to CD. They were having trouble finalizing it after the show, but they must have been able to get it to work. Adam said they'd have it for sale in LA and when I asked if it would otherwise be available, he said to keep checking the Union Maid. I would love to have the actual CD, though.

Just thought I'd ad, since you can't hear it on the recording and it was funny, the segue into Gone Dyin' was...
Adam: "Is Father's Day coming up?"
Audience: "Yes. It's the 18th"
Adam: "Great! Here's a song about dying."

I was hoping for a Beanery show last time they were out here. Because really, you can't beat that with a stick. Nice personal pot of strong steeping fruity tea, a generous slice of a lovely berry tart and Eric playing soulfully, if not exhustedly. Sometimes, it's like a dessert time UM he's playing just for you.

Peace Love and Cheese

Wow. I hadn't realized how far behind I had let the Archive get. I guess that's what happens when the Union Maid gets busy again.

All caught up now ...
