So, the songbook is $20. How much extra for tutoring to accompany the songbook?

Heh, I bet it's a typo. The letter "c" and "v" are right next to each other on the keyboard.
This is so bizarre. I was just thinking about this today, wishing they would do the lyrics and some liner notes for the next CD. Because I was listening to "Satan No" in the car and wondering once again, "what the hell are they singing?" I love it, but, huh? 8-)
I see "Smile" has a really long title - "Smile And The Whole World Leaves With You". Still not as long as "It's Always More Than Once Before It Takes" because the apostrophe makes More longer by one character. Oooh! Official song titles!
And what's this Jordan-sounding song - "Let Me Die With My Trumpet In My Hand"?
I wonder how many songs are in the book? And I guess when they say "songbook" they mean the book includes the chords, right?
I've always wanted an official lyrics book. I have my own version, but except for the official lyrics they had on the main page at one time, it's all the unofficial lyrics from the lyrics threads or what I've tried to figure out myself. (Remember when "Auctioneer" was "Roses in a Fishbowl"?) Plus the cover song lyrics that I've found on the web.
What would really be nice is a blurb for each song telling the inspiration behind the lyrics. (Again, "Satan No" - what's that all about?)
I hope they bring some copies to their next shows so I can take a look at it. Bring it to Delaware!

This looks great. It's fun trying to work out the songs yourself, but some of the keys are pretty difficult, as Eric often seems to use a capo. It will be fun to see all the harmonies written out too. Thanks, guys!

Jesus!! ONE DAY after I finally caved and bought Dust Bowl o'Cherries and a new CoRo Tshirt.
I was holding out for the DVD, you see, and now look, I'm going to have to pay double postage or wait another six months for this. :-P
However: Shiny! I wonder if we are ever going to get the lyrics to 92 Mikes though. I mean, it's pretty unintelligible in its brilliance. (I've been offline for ever - this may have already happened...?)

I gave 92 Mikes a go in The Lyrics Are Here thread and Christy R. tweaked it.
Now, I have an issue with Songbooks that has always perplexed me. They're never what they seem to be.
Sometimes they're lyrics and tabs. Sometimes just tabs. Sometimes just lyrics.
Who ever orders this is going to have to report, because I really can't see them willingly giving us lyrics. They've never done so before, as far as my recollection goes.

Also, All Night Rave has been corrected.

Jessie, they've willingly given lyrics on more than one occasion. The front page of the site used to contain the official lyrics of a few songs. And (presumably) Adam has commented to at least the (former) Ken-Beck.net guestbook with the lyrics of a song, and recently to the Jordan-Katz.com guestbook with one. They're not opposed to making the lyrics of their songs known.

They let us have the thread where some of us try to puzzle out the lyrics, so I'm sure they don't mind. In an interview I read somewhere, Adam said he liked how we discussed the songs and you can't do that if you haven't figured out the lyrics.
I bet they finally decided that we've struggled long enough! Like I've said, lots of times I picture the band collectively rolling their eyes at each other and saying "They think we're singing what?"
Now the problem will be getting the wrong words out of my head! I stll hear "see the glock" instead of "see the block" in "Auctioneer", which I got into my head because that's about when Adam started playing the glock. And Eric changed "stand still" to "sit still" in "Same Prayer" but it still catches me when I hear him sing the song with the different word. And those are words I know are wrong.
I know I'm going to have problems with the song titles. Lesson Learned still isn't Normal Sea (or however it's spelled) to me.

i find that most songbooks have tabs, lyrics, and piano parts. i'm sure the guys will have both tabs and lyrics in theirs.

You haven't been around long, have you? Because they used to have lyrics on the front page of this very site.

oh yes, well remembered. it wasn't even that long ago that they still had those lyrics up, was it? they used to say who had written the songs too - music by, lyrics by, etc.
Yeah, it's Lord / Deliver Me / Let Me Die With My Trumpet In My Hand.
"Let Me Die With My Trumpet In My Hand" is still not as long as "It's More Than Once Before It Takes"!

Yeah *Bounce* The post women delivered a shiny new Common Rotation Folk song book this fine morning: )
I haven’t had time to have much of a look as yet because unfortunately I have to work for a living.
Tonight no doubt I will be looking at the cord patterns saying ‘are you sure?’ blimey my fingers can’t do that! *no surprise there*
Anywho’s it’s a very precious thing to me, so thank you guy’s and have fun on tour.
Back to work for me then, no rest for the wicked!

I always find myself staring at Eric's hands when he plays. That or his Adam's Apple bobbing up and down when he sings. But that's neither here nor there. Anyway, I have to wonder if Eric's double jointed or something because he can really stretch his fingers along the neck of the guitar! It's just...DAY-UM!
Good luck to anyone learning how to play his songs.

from constant playing, a string player's fingers end up stretching out so you get those long reaches. i had it when i was younger as a viola player but sadly, no more. so it's not necessarily being double jointed.
