Is there anyone else going to this. I checked the Andyman's Treehouse website and they don't have anything up about CoRo being there. Are they still going to be there? I definitely want to go but I don't want to drive 2 hours just to find out that they are not.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Heather Doute
I will be there as long as my flight from Edmonton arrives the night before

Wow. That's quite a ways to come. I figured that this might be the only chance I would get of seeing them outside a con so a two hour drive is nothing.
I don't know if I would be willing to fly to just the concert without a con. Though it probably would be cheaper than doing the whole con.
Two days to go Yeah

With the price of gas, are they going to make any money with this tour?

We never exchanged email addresses after the show. Where should I send you some of the photos from last night and from last years MotorCity show? Great show last night, eh?

Darrell, you can't just say "great show" and leave us hanging like that! Of course it was a great show. Details, we want details!

Sorry Watcher, I'm not a detail kind of guy. I spent most of the night behind my camera. I can vividly recall what aperture and shutter speed settings I used and the difficulty of shooting in the worst lighting I ever encountered (all of this on top of driving an 8 hour round trip.) CORO is worth it and I would definitely do it all over again. My wife was there and she is a detail kind of person. I've asked her to drop a message on the board covering some of the details. If she doesn't, maybe Aerialla will?
I have tons of photos that will be shared in the near future.

I know what you mean, Darrell. I spend most of my time behind the camera too, although it's mostly cursing the fact that I can't afford a camera (or the lens) that takes photos in low light. And, I didn't realize that my point and shoot digital camera shines this green light as an autofocus assist until I was at a venue where I could see it shining in a mirror. Now I cover it up so I don't annoy the band, but that probably doesn't help in getting the low light shots.

OK, so know I feel guilty about the last post. Here are the details according to Darrell.
My wife and I arrived at the tree house around 8:00 PM knowing that the bar opened at 7:00 and the boys were not going to be on until 11:00 PM. We thought hey, let’s watch the opening acts.
We arrived to find an empty bar and were directed to the “Tree Room” after asking where the bands setup.
Small Room with a huge tree. Pretty Cool. Like I mentioned in the last post, no ambient lighting facing the performance space. Huge challenge. It safe to say that I was a little disappointed because I wanted to take some awesome pictures with my new lens. The wall behind the performance space was covered with bumper stickers, small images with words, and white Christmas lights. Pink lights dangled from the ceiling above the performance space. The walls displayed a orange red glow which added a nice effect to the photos.
However, photographing the guys in the dark with a wall of bright Christmas lights behind them was not good. Even with manual settings pushing the dark ends of the cameras capabilities produced several mediocre images. However, a large portion came out good and a few came out great.
Prior to the show, Johny B for the opening act spoke with me for a little bit. Nice guy and a good band. I can’t remember the bands name right now but it will come to be eventually. We spoke about CORO and I made the mistake of telling him that they are from LA instead of New York. So during his performance, he announced that CORO was from LA. Then when CORO came on, they announced that they are from New York.
The show:
Jordan wore a purple shirt slightly unbuttoned with a white wife beater underneath. His chest hair nicely complimented the beard (by the way I love the beard and he should never shave it).
Adam wore a red shirt under a sports coat. I was so glad that he wore his glasses. He looks really good in them and they add a nice element to the photos.
Eric wore a button up shirt that I usually refer to as a cowboy shirt. He looked like a cowboy in that shirt with the way his jeans fit.
Sorry if this section sounds gay, but you asked for details and I’m trying…
During the show the first moment that sticks out is when Adam sang the lines “No time for picture taking” and he stared and pointed at me.
Most of the people in the crowd never heard of Common Rotation and responded overwhelmingly to the performance. Indie Rockin was awesome. I never get sick of that song. After Indie Rockin a drunk chicklet started inadvertently hackling Adam. I think Adam thought she was messing with him but she was genuinely shouting out how much she likes the band. I missed what was said, but Adam mentioned something like “Just keep telling yourself that over and over and someday you will actually believe it.”
After the show the guys gave my wife and me a warm reception and thanked us for coming. We talked a bit about previous and upcoming shows. They were happy to hear that we would be attending the Spring Arbor concert and dedicated a song to us during the Spring Arbor show.
We stuck around and watched Jason Quiksall until about 1:30 and then drove home. He was great and had an excellent band. We got home at about 5:30.

Thanks for the details, Darrell!
CR sometimes says they're from LA, sometimes from NY. Most of the time they mention both. Guess it depends on their mood, or what they think the crowd will respond best to, or maybe how recently they've been back to NY. ::shrugs::
I had to look up the term "wife beater" to see what you meant by that. From the context, it sounds like a tank top. What an awful nickname for a piece of clothing.
Adam responding to hecklers is always fun.
How cool to get a song dedicated to you at Spring Arbor! Which one was it?

It always great to hear about how the gigs are going especially when there is no way you can get to them: )

I don't think any of the ladies here will be questioning your heterosexuality after putting such lovely images in their heads. I know I'm not. Just thankful that you're manly enough to be in touch with your feminine side.
Glad you had fun and your long trip was worth it. Can't wait for the pictures!

Thanks Darrell, for someone who is not a details kind of guy that was pretty impressive, and you just be as gay as you want when it comes to those details
