Hey guys, I was at the show...it was my first CoRo show, I live in Buffalo so I've never been able to make the travel arrangements...but I really enjoyed it! Off the top of my head, I know they sang Indie Rockin, True Hollywood, Gone Dyin, Offstage Lines, More Than Once, Everything Under the Sun, Union Dues, all those in no particular order, and they closed with Pawn. Adam asked us if we had any requests, so some people tossed some out there, namely Fortunate, Don't Lets Start, and Oklahoma but Eric said no! Guess they needed the full band for those ones maybe, they did sing some new songs but I can't remember the names to them...I loaded a few pics I took on my myspace page if anyone wants to check them out. I think they turned out ok. Just go here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=28155442
I hope that link works...I'm new at the myspace thing.

Oops, hit the wrong button. I wanted to say thanks for the report. Did they really perform for 2 hours?

They played about an hour, and then took a 15 min break and then came back with another 45 minute set, so almost 2 hours. Sorry if you can't see the pics, I don't know how to post them on here.

Aw, now I wish I took the day off. That's like getting 2 shows for the price of one. But I had a great time at Joey's Ark.

thanks for sharing Tiffany and the photos came out good Wow, how lucky were you guys?!! nearly 2 hours - Sounds amazing.
Actually, it was better than two shows for the price of one since the World Cafe was free! (The June 1 show will be $7.)
We circled the area looking for parking around 11:45 and Jordan was out on the curb, looking like he was keeping an eye out for someone to arrive We circled a bit and got lost in the post office parking areas before getting a spot around the corner, and once we got inside, Jordan and Eric were setting up and then Adam walked in a few minutes later.
My memory's never the best when trying to remember a set list and when you throw in the Newark show plus listening to the CDs on the drive to/from Delaware, it's even less reliable. :P It was a warmup for the rest of their tour and they threw in some newer stuff, but I want to say some songs not yet mentioned they did are Party People, 92 Mikes, Clear Channel, Satan, No, and Smile and the Whole World Leaves With You. Don't quote me on that 100%, though.
I was the one who threw Oklahoma out there as a request. It was funny to hear all of them being turned down, although I think Pawn was a request and they just needed to go over the music at the break before doing it.
I have some pictures up from the World Cafe Live show. The red backdrop seemed to throw off my camera (otherwise, the lighting was perfect because of the huge window) so I had some that came out too blurry, but they were generally okay if I zoomed out or occasionally snuck in a flash photo. Joey's Ark was way too intimate for me to use a flash and I was at a too-close side angle, so I don't have too many shots from there.

Thanks for the pictures. With the recording my friends made for me and now drooling over your pictures, it's almost like being there! Well, not really. But still, I appreciate it.
My only complaint is...you can put watermarks on your pics but you can turn them upright? lol
Oops, I'll go and fix that. I forgot that I was using the gallery software to rotate them instead of my photo software, but I had to delete and re-upload the photos at one point due to a watermarking problem.

lol Thanks! The lengths and contortions I go through to drool over CoRo .
Ok, the photos are now fixed. (Ooh, you mentioned a recording in an earlier post...can you email me? I want to ask something about that. webmaster at my site's domain name works.)

138 days - I'll get bored of the countdown beofre the end. You wish.
I was at work, trying not to cry while this show was going on. I would have been there, but I had to take the Sunday prior to this show for another concert. Too many days....
Nice pictures and a nice reports guys....wish I'd been able to go.
June 1st isn't such a long way off....right?

Great photos and report, HiddenSky. Thanks for sharing.
The World Cafe was Free?! Sigh, I really should have taken the day off!
Hmm, where are the set lists? They usually have them right at their feet. Adam often ends up standing on his some time during the show.
Thanks for the DE photos, too. You got Eric looking right at you. Can you tell what 2 songs were scratched out on the DE set list? I can't see it because your watermark is on top of it.
Come on over to the DE thread and let us know your impressions of that show, too. What a CR filled day you had!

Hiddensky, is there any way we can download or save your photos?
They just winged it and didn't have set lists for the World Cafe show. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and they took their time to tune their instruments or decide on the next song without feeling rushed. It pretty much was the perfect scenario to sit back and enjoy their music.
There was a funny part at the end where Adam thanked everyone for coming - except the people off to the side. The WCL setup had the stage at one end with tables a step below on the main floor, then wrapping around over by the windows was a raised seating area on level with the stage. Those of us there for the concert were on the lower part, and people there only for lunch were seated on the raised area. At various points during the show, the non-concert people were loud enough to be clearly heard and then some during quieter passages, which was rude. I don't think the remaining group was quite as bad as one that left before the end of the concert, but they still made perfect targets, so Adam thanked everyone except for them. I guess they were listening since they had these "Why is this guy talking to us?" looks on their faces. He said he hoped they liked the band enough to come back June 1 and he promised they would be chivalrous, courteous, etc. in return.
The songs scratched out on the DE set list were Trumpet (which was rewritten below) and Union Dues.
I don't have too much to add to the DE show other than I had a great time. It did feel a little rushed at the end since the UDel kids were clearly itching to party, but that was certainly understandable, and it was nice how they brought the Deltones aboard for the last song.
As far as the photos, I tried enabling something in the software that should have allowed for a zipped download of whatever files you wanted, but I couldn't get it to work correctly. I can compile a zip archive by hand, though, if you really want them.

Thanks for the story, HiddenSky. Mmm, almost 2 hours of "winging it". Sounds great!
I love every live performance I've attended, and to me that's the true CR sound. The give and take between performer and audience. The magic of seeing the music and words in the company of others. There's an energy there that you don't get when you listen to a song on a CD. But sometimes I'm torn between loving the community feel of people around me sharing a common experience and just wanting to say "shut up everybody, I want to hear the song!"
Oops, that was a rant. Sorry.
I realize people are going to want to talk if they go somewhere to eat. But why go to someplace with live music if you intend not to listen, or at least respect the others who want to listen by talking softly.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and thanks again for posting.
