World Cafe Live
3025 Walnut Street
Philadelphia, PA
215.222.1400
10:00PM
I was at the venue on Sunday to buy my ticket and I was happy to see some posters and 4x6 sized flyers for the show. They're based on the songbook cover.
I will be there. Still debating on whether or not to buy my ticket online or just buy at the door.

It's $8 at the door, $10 at the door if you use a credit card, $10 online.
There's an upstairs and a downstairs to the venue. The band will be playing upstairs, which is street level on Walnut Street. It's a restaurant and bar with a stage at one end. Seats about 100, holds about 130 standing room.
There was a bluegrass group playing Sunday night when I went to purchase my ticket. The room noise level was very loud and it was hard to hear the words, but the 4 man group was loud enough to hear the music. The venue pipes in the music into the rest room and the group was best heard in the ladies room.

Hey, is anyone from Delco going to this show? I've only been to this place once, so not entirely comfortable driving there by myself. Even if I just had someone with me to navigate, that would be cool. I've got money for parking and all that; I just don't want to go alone :/
I'm very sleepy, so a report will have to wait, but I managed to get my pics up from the 6/1 World Cafe Live show. I was experimenting with different camera modes and sacrificed some light for shutter speed in the latter part.
And I want to publically apologize to the guys for my poor attitude....I was having a horrible day.
I haven't had time to listen to my audio, but if it's any good, I'll be back to upload it.

Thanks for the compliment, Darrell. I don't know why that one came out so well and the others are still blurry. Maybe because it was just his face and it was bright throught the whole photo. When I did a wider shot, the camera thinks it darker and can't cope. I don't get why my camera can't take a good photo when the venue had them lit so well.
HiddenSky, your photos are great. So many nice ones.
Your camera is trying to compensate for the dark backgound and shadows. I always have to over-ride the camera defaults with manual settings to get decent photos. Great work.
