I heard about it this morning...that's really sad, I personally think he fit the part of Dumbledore very well...kinda ironic though (this from a HP and LotR fan in the original sense of the word-fanatic)because there have been SOOOOOO many fanfics where Dumbledore and Gandalf were one and the same, they were interesting to read, but I realize now that the circumstances to make the actors the same would be sad and, well, unwanted.
