I personally think that the "copy" and "paste" option has been one of the best and worst inventions.

And just for the record, the "my friend did it" excuse is crap. It is your responsibility as the web site owner to make sure that your content as original, not your friend's. And plus, that makes you even worse of a person than before, cause then your technically ripping off your friend as well. Cause if you really believed it was their work, you didn't even credit them on your web site.
In other words, I think you and your excuses suck.
