Response to Talking for you isn't enough to appologise to the others of your society.

I do not consider myself a virus, nor do I consider members of my faith as such, I do not know where you could get such a deluded notion but nowhere in there did I compare members of my faith to computer viruses, if you percieved something as such in what was a simple, harmless holiday filk then I suggest you yourself have faith-based issues sorely in need of resolution, I know full well the suffering of my people at the hands of those around them, but rather than bray ceaselessly at those around me, brow-beating them into sensitivity (which I might add does NOT work)I acknowledge and celebrate my Jewish heritage, welcoming those who would join but not pursuing those who wish to leave. I for one am sickened by those who would police all thought over a simple gesture of good humor, I am equally sensitive to the plight of my kin in Israel, I for one have a cousin on the West Bank, he is in the minds of I and my family often, to suggest that my innocent holiday fun is an antisemetic diatribe is Chutzpah of the highest caliber and I suggest you solve your own issues before (if you'll pardon the expression) casting stones at others, I said before that I didn't want to start a flame war over this, and I meant it, however if you are one who sees offensiveness everywhere they look, I suggest you seriously re-evaluate your own views, there is nothing sadder than someone so insecure in their heritage that they see attacks upon it where there are none, I know full well the plight of my people but I refuse to let it dominate my life, I continue onward, never forgetting, but at the same time keeping one eye on the past and another on the future, that is how I live my life and it is how I will continue to live my life, because deep down I know full well that there is the potential for all faiths to live in peace, Remember at this time of year the words of Gene Roddenberry: "Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations" and with that I descend from my Soapbox, a good deal catharticized from this speech, thank you

"the whole is worth more than the sum of its parts"
