thanks for commenting on my rants, and to get those crazy alt symbols, for anyone interested, just use the alt key in a combination with the key pad, for example:
alt+0208 is the Ð in deamon, its easy, hold down alt, press all the numbers, then releas all buttons, and there you have it¡<you can even do upsidedown stuff>
for a complete list of the alt+number combos look at a character map(its a system tool that does the same thing only with the mouse and menus)
