I lived in Alaska for 4 years, but even I never really found the distinct line between Ice Storm and Blizzard...
I settled for the explination that Ice storms have more ice falling as well as snow, where az blizzards are more to be just massive amounts of snow and less Ice. i could very bwell be wrong, though. It was four yeards and I haven't been up in the Great White North for seven going on 8 years, much to my Dismay.
And BTW... most vacations with my family are far worse than hurricanes. Family fun and bonding... or a blood letting. Meh, whatever.
