I just thought I should start any offtopic thread about the Discworld since there seem to be not so many of that in here.

I have some questions for you (could be sort of a poll ):

1) Have you ever seen a Discworldplay?
2) If so which one?
3) If not why not and would you like to see one?
4) Are you planning to go to the convention?
5) Would it be possible to make a non-cartoon Discworld movie?
6) Why did you start reading Discworld?

3) There have not been any in Sweden taht I know of. I would love to go to one though.
4) I am thinking about it but I don't know anyone who is going and it costs a lot of money.
5) Yes I think so but it will be hard.
6) I started reading because I liked the outsides of the Bromeliad series, I started reading them and laughed so much I just had to get more books by him. So I started looking for more Pratchett books and there we are.

The problem with trying to look more stupid then you are is that

going to the convention is a bit sad really. I have seen one discworld play at my mates school. It sucked so bad we had to get stoned half way through.

I wouldn't say conventions were sad, many of my friends think that but they also think DW is sad(I know - they're getting a bracken salad for X-mas)I think unless you've been to one ( whichi haven't) you can't write them off. I've never seen a play but i do belong to the guild of Fans and Disciples who do some groovey stickers. In fact i recently got one taking the rip out of the pentium processor logo- You know Pratchett Processor with anthill inside !

I have been in many stage plays and used to be quite into acting. It's all different now though, sadly.

I still am an actor (well, a performer really) and I never got to be in one yet. I've never heard of a play being performed anywhere near here (Gloucester) and if the play was going on, I'd love to be in it. I would hate to watch it though. I have a picture of how everything should look in my head, and I don't want anyone to spoil it. Especially with really bad amateur dramatic acting. If it was a film then I recommend that some decent actors get in it, and Christina Ricci plays a young Esme Weatherwax!!!!

If I was a discworld character, then I'd be........

(finish that sentence you guys - lets stay on this topic - I don't want another cameo role in a fish and wonker psychodrama)
