Y'know . I have DW 1 on my PC and the midi music works fine, but I can't get the speech... any suggestions? I am running it through DOS and my sound card is a soundblaster pro.
you could try installing it again, I remember I had that problem when I first got the game. Its because you need to install the two parts separately. The first sound type bit is for the music, and then theres another thing on the list underneath that one that you also have to install (vague memories now...) The way that you tell whether you have speech installed or not is if the company logos and stuff that come up have sound, you know the psygnosis (spelling) bit etc. The front page will tell you if you've got midis installed properly because you get that lovely music at the start :)
