You walk up the stone steps of Hogwarts, looking around in awe at the huge castle that will be your home for the next nine months. You hear whispering about how some are excited of seeing certain others, some dreaming of their house winning the House and Quidditch Cups, and some young first year girls whispering about trying to catch sight of a now older and hansomer Harry Potter along with his infamous scar. Shivering slightly from the fall's chilly wind blowing over you you enter the Great Hall where Peeves the poltergist is tormenting a few firts years with water balloons and Professor McGonagall shooing him away while she gathered up the first years into a room to explain the rules and houses at Hogwarts. You take your seat at your House table among your friends if you're not a first year. If you are a first year - then you would be standing in a room warmed by the crackling fire in the fireplace and being watched by thoughtful eyes from the paintings on the walls as Professor McGonagall speaks of the Houses you may catch a few of her words."Now while you're here, your houses will be like your family. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." Once her speech is over she takes you along to the Hall again and once you're sorted you take your places at your House's table smiling happily you're a witch or wizard and at one of the best schools yet.
