Thought I'd give an update on POWescape and this seems like the best place to do it so...
I've been working mostly now on the scripting and tweaking the terrian.
I've got some tunnels running from two of the barracks, one under a bed and the other from under a furnace. You press use on them and they slide out of the way, revealing the hole with ladder.
Down in the tunnel I am experimenting with two trams which carry you faster than you can walk/run. They are on a "loop of rope", so there is always one car at each end waiting. Atm you can't go through the tunnel without using those but they pass each other in the center, so might make it interesting when axis going one way and alies the other trying to hit each other.
I'm not sure how this is going to pan out as there a quite a few glitches left, so I might end up just taking them out. We'll see how a test goes I suppose and go from there.
Outside the General's quarters there is a car which the alies can give a little push and it rolls down the slope and crashes through the fence providing an alternate escape route. This is working nicely as is now. So I'm pretty happy with leaving that in.
I've been tweaking the terrian because it's not blocking enough of the map and hence is running too slow. Much time has been spent on this because radiant has problems when I tweak the verts.
I have a few more suprises for this map, and will upload some screenies soon stay tuned!
