...and still room left over for 3-D Monopoly! He's just talented at optimizing that way. The rest of us poor wretches need about 50K.

mennonite and I both wrote directory programs that do what Explorer does, list all the files in folders and sub-folders. Plasma also posted a routine like this a few years ago. However, you also need a menu with file keeping ability to scroll the files up and down the screen or in a window and a highlighting method or nummeric selection to select the desired file or to open a sub-folder, etc. I think I made one of those too.

Anyway, the resources for doing this entire project are already on the forum in various places. It's just a matter of putting them together. But I won't do that and neither will he (Myst)...because it reminds us too much of OOP!

I hope Myst writes it in something other than QB because the changes in M$ OS's just make these types of utilities obsolete now, especially with Vista, which would require a DOSBOX to get anything made in QB that SHELLS to DOS to work.

Just some yammering, as I don't want in on such a project and I'm certain Myst could code this in his sleep, well, over 6 or seven nights that is... but I bet it won't fit on a floppy! :)
