pete, i've talked about this a million timesby mennonite (no login)no one arguing against people putting licenses on their code has ever addressed any point i made about it, nor do i think they could. it's all argument from ignorance, particularly on mac's part. let michael put whatever the hell he wants to on his code. as for big projects, haven't you been in two of them, and weren't the rules just about enough to make us both quit? you're entitled to your opinion, but it would be nice if it wasn't so self-contradicting, and based almost entirely on misunderstanding and ignoring other people. i'd love a public domain subforum. but you know what? it's 100% better just to say: "this code is public domain." if that's a problem for you, it's a problem for other people that most of the code on this forum doesn't carry the permission to reuse it. i realize that doesn't matter to you. it should, but it doesn't. fine, you made that clear. |
