Johnson, Ellen C. K. Ellen C. K. Johnson of Naperville, aged 69, passed away on January 2, 2011. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying traveling, dancing, canoeing, teaching, and any other activity she could fit into her schedule. From 1987 to 2010, Ellen taught Anthropology at the College of DuPage, retiring in 2009. In her teaching, she sought to expand people's understanding of the world around them. Among her social activities, she enjoyed a life-long love of folk dancing, including participation in groups in Evanston, Argonne, Fermilab and the University of Illinois, and led the annual DuPage River Sweep clean-up for the Conservation Foundation. She believed that we are all connected through love and communion, and in her professional and social lives operated under the philosophy that making fun infectious allowed it to be shared with everyone. Ellen is survived by her husband, Phil Paul, two sons, Paul and David, step-daughter Jennifer, brothers Dick and Herb and sister Amy, and seven grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Ellen's life will be held at the DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church in Naperville on Saturday, January 22nd at 2pm.
