Dear Friends, The Class of 1980 lost a dear friend - Russ Melnick. It is with a sad heart that I share his obituary from the Columbus Dispatch.

MELNICK Russell John Melnick, 49, died January 29, 2012, at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. Russell is the beloved son of Frances and William Melnick of Upper Arlington, OH. In addition to his mother and father, Russell is survived by his four children, Alexandra 17, Casey 15, Chloe 13, Zayne 11; and his ex-wife, Melissa, all living in Tequesta, FL; his brother, Wade, sister-in-law, Donna and nephews, Ben and Nicholas; his Aunt Sandy, and Uncle Dave, cousins Kristi and David; and his many friends and family. Russell grew up in Upper Arlington. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in welding engineering. He was employed for over 20 years with Pratt-Whitney in Florida and Connecticut and most recently by TurboCombustor Technologies, Inc. in Stuart. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997. Arrangements have not been finalized at this time.
