From Denison.edu, December 3, 2010:
Denison University senior Dan Crawford (UAHS Class of 2007) has been selected as one of five finalists for the 7th annual Coach John Wooden Citizenship Cup. The award is presented to the most outstanding role model among college athletes and recognizes athletes who make the greatest difference in the lives of others.
Denison Associate Director of Athletics and advisor to the Denison Student Athlete Advisory Council, Lynn Schweizer, feels that the Wooden Cup is a perfect fit for Crawford.
"I can honestly say that in my 38 years at Denison, Dan is one of the most outstanding students that I have had the opportunity to work with," said Schweizer. "Dan exemplifies the type of student that we are proud to have represent Denison. His leadership style is so effective because he empowers his peers to strive for excellence and challenges them to think critically about the issues at hand."
Congratulations to UAHS alumnus and Golden Bear Dan Crawford!
