Hoy all, some of you may remember me. Ya know the kid with really long blond hair that rode a motorcycle. I did grow up in UA but didn't graduate as a Golden Bear. The pic below was taken by John in his driveway just before he went into the Marines.

I was here to look up some old names and see if any contact info was available, also to enlist my '69 Firebird 400 in this years parade.

Anyway, some of you may not be aware that my very old friend John Platt passed away this March on St. Patrick's Day. I had the news first hand. Johns step father, who was at my uncles funeral that day, received a phone call from Nan (his mom) about John.

John and I were friends since Sunday school at St. Stevens Episcopal, and we were in contact sporadically through our lives. I talked to John about two years ago to find he was in poor health. I was quite surprised to learn of his death, at my uncles funeral no less.

Hi Tom,

Great picture. Was this John Platt from your sister's class - 1979?
I am sorry to hear of his passing- way to young- John and I were in French class together in high school. He was a really nice guy. I am sorry you lost a close friend and the class of 1979 lost another classmate.

Mary

PS- to enter your car in the parade, go tohttp://www.uaca.org/ Click on events and then the 4th of July.
