Pump Seems To Big

January 26 2004 at 10:51 PM
CAROL

Hi, So far I'm really pleased with how my lips are looking but it seems that the lip area of the pump is to big for my face and it's not making a good seal. I'm not able to pull the pump out because I have to push down on the sides til I can feel some suction working. I've tried putting fabric on the ends and other things but it's still not sealing the way it should be? Does anyone have an idea! I still won't stop using Lucious Lips but it would be so much nicer and easier to use if it fit better. I've turned it over and bent over even! Thanks, CAROL

Narrow?

Hello Carol, is your face very narrow? I noticed on the frequently asked questions page it says that women with narrow faces sometimes find Luscious Lips more difficult to use.

Try this

Carol, try this to help create a good airtight seal. Place Luscious Lips over your mouth, then while holding it in place, suck the air out of the mouthpiece before then pulling on the outer tube. Hopefully you will feel the mouthpiece snug up to your face, which must mean a very good seal. Maybe this will help you? I hope so.

Narrow

I have the hang of it now! It just wasn't fitting my cheek area at all. Now I can tell it's mostly just how I suck in the air. I really can't believe how it's working so well. I'm just in the conditioning stage but I can see a big difference! I'm not bruising anymore at all either..it's a great product!!

Thanks Laura. This seems like really good advice as I've done as you said and the fit seems absolutely perfect for me now.

hang of it

Yes I have the hang of it now too. Everyone take note! Suck the air out of the mouthpiece first and you will feel it fit very snugly around your mouth. Great!

Tight fit

February 22 2004, 9:24 AM

If anyone wants an even tighter fit there's one other thing you can do which is to wet the area around your mouth. You'll find that this increases the hold and results in a really snug fit. It's probably not necessary for most people to do this, but I mention it anyway just in case.

YES! I figured this out while I was taking a bath--much better suction.

Narrow Face

February 13 2006, 1:55 AM

I to have a narrow face. I find when I suck the air out it holds the seal for a while but then it leaks. I am on the 10 second hold now and by the sixth second it is leaking. Do you have any other suggestions besides sucking out the air that would help keep a tight seal??
To bad the mouth pieces don't come in different sizes for those of us with small faces! Any helpful hints will be appreciated.

My face is on the narrow side and this is what I did. Place the mouthpiece over the mouth and hold it in place. Keep it tight to the face and keep your lips closed. Then gently puff out your cheeks. You should find that when you puff out your cheeks you reach a point where you have a good seal. If you then pull on the outer tube you will feel the suction OK which proves it. This worked for me immediately that I tried it.

Thanks for the tip on wetting the mouth area first, this really creates a tight seal and I have found that bruising doesn't occur if you do this!
