That's great to know-we've gone through a Hoover windtunnel-worked great for the first year we had it, but WAAAAAY TOO LOUD and the wand quit sucking for some reason (we never found a clog- despite repeated attempts to figure it out, it just quit working one day) We also went through a couple of British spec canister types with bags. (I hate bags. I really do.) And this is just since we've been in England! (3 1/2 years)
So I'm glad to know you've had your Dyson for 3 years and it still works well! I was a little worried spending more than a couple hundred for a vacuum, especially considering how little success I've had with what I consider expensive ones. Other people I know who've bought the REALLY expensive ones (Electrolux?) still had them break down within a couple of years. I was resigned to just buying a new vacuum every couple of years.
