OK, I have to do something. School, house, bills, kids, laundry.... it's a mess. So I'm back, and if there's no one here I'll just use this as a blog to motivate myself.
So. Today: Make bed, shine sink. Do some laundry and dress to my shoes.
Later, spend minimum 30 minutes tackling paperwork from school.
just back from a big seminar. The house looks like a tornado went thought it. I am sure the dog exploded somewhere. BIlls. I don't even want to go there. they are paid but I really need to file. Clean clothes are all over. However the groceries are put away and the dishes are done.
You will not ask about shoes. I only wear shoes when I have to. It is a spirituality thing for me. I need to be in contact with the earth. Plus I just don't like to wear shoes. LOL

Just spent some quality time with Quicken. Yuck. It just doesn't seem fair that we can't a)send a child to college b)reduce debt, and c) still spend money willy-nilly like we want to.
But I paid some bills and took a swipe at a budget. I fear that DH and I will have to sit down tomorrow and get serious. Since all the parental fighting when I was growing up was money oriented, I get a tight stomach just thinking about it, even though DH is wonderful and we never fight about money at all.
On the house front, I have started the first load of laundry and the bed is made, and the sink is empty, if not shiny.
I've been checking in once in awhile for a long time. Glad to see the site active again. I've been going regularly to www.sheforums.com and www.organizedhome.com for cheerleading. I have managed to declutter enough that the house can be put back together pretty easily, even after a few days of neglect. Getting support online and getting the Flylady emails does it for me. Now, don't get me wrong. The house is not always company-ready, but I feel as though I'm in control of the house, not the other way around. And my FIRST message board was this one. Glad to see it perking up again.
I'm trying to flyputter. Bed, sink, and shoes, plus a little here and there to start. Oh, and I always have my clothes out the night before. When you need to leave the house at 5:30 a.m., digging through laundry baskets praying for clean underwear is a BAD idea.
I'm hoping we'll keep this board active again. I checked the other forums, but they seemed bigger and harder for me to jump in, so I decided to just start posting here again and give a few folks a heads' up.
But I'm in socks....shoes and I do not get along, lol.
Today has been productive so far. Dd and I rearranged the livingroom and dining room. We set up a gated playarea for 15month old ds, who has been everywhere and into everything lately.
My goal for the rest of the day is to shine my sink and cook some dinner....
friends. I use it all the time. I even got a cookbook just for it. LOL Told Hubby i was tired of doing the cooking thing or else us just eating junkie stuff. We were eating healthy and I didn't care if he liked it or not.
My oldest isn't in college he is still sailing on the cruise ships. So he has his first career well on its way. This is his 3 contract now. I believe.
Andy is just in 8th grade or so.
Keep on plugging away. It eventually gets a bit easier.

I LOVE my crockpot. Now that outdoor grilling season is over, it's out of hiding and I've been putting it through its paces. DH ASKS for crockpot dinners. And he lavishes on the compliments so that I keep using it. I LOVE the crockpot recipes in Saving Dinner (one per week)so I tried some dedicated crock pot cookbooks. I was disappointed. What I like about the recipes from Saving Dinner is that they are written by a nutritionist and don't all start with opening a can of something. Most taste really fresh, even the ones that contain canned ingredients. So, naturally, I was among the first to sign up for the new Crock Cooker menumailer at www.savingdinner.com You get 5 crockpot recipes emailed to you each week as well as the full shopping list for them all. Three months of this for $9.95 and you can try the free week posted at the website for free. And, no, I don't get any kickbacks. I just am a happy customer. If you like crockpotting, this is my enthusiastic recommendation.
we don't eat sugar and I am allergic to onions so we seldom used prepared or canned stuff. Mostly frozen or fresh.

My house is fits and starts. My kitchen is done, but we have some more painting to do. We did get a new couch and ottoman tht we use for a coffee table last year.
DH wants to have a party in early November. So I guess I'd better get going!!
it is coming together. It is called home makeover MY WAY. Couldn't afford to have a decorator come in so we did it our way. Which is fine with me. That way I can change it when ever I want to. Still have to finish the painting. Haven't decided on whether it will just be yellow or Wild Bamboo.
We built the house ourselves so I much prefer to do any changes ourselves. Well I am off to purge the cabinets. Yea what fun (said in a dead pan voice) I can hardly wait.
