RUSH 6-28-08 - TRADING 5TH ROW TICKETS FOR 5TH ROW OR CLOSER
I have 2 tickets right next to each other, 5th Row, Center Section, Seats 101 and 103. These seats are all the way over on Alex Lifeson's side of the 5th Row - unless for some unexplained reason Geddy Lee is on Alex's side this leg. I'd like to TRADE my tickets for two tickets together on Geddy's side, SAME ROW or even closer if it works out that way. Please let me know if you'd like to trade. Or if you know of someone that would like to, would you please point them in my direction?

"Hi there,
Pop's is a decent venue. we had played there twice as Aenima. The draw wasn't all the great. But from what i understand, Pop's (at that time) wasn't getting much draw from heavier bands. This was summer '06. Plus,in hinde sight, we weren't handling our promo as well admitadly.
We're still searching for the right guitarist to replace Dave at this point, so it's a little premature to look into bookings for now. But I'll put Pop's on the list. I'd love to play there again if they'll have us.
Dano"
---------------------------------------------
Uhhh....I found '06 to be pretty damn heavy w/ Anthrax in January, Prong & Bodom in March, Slayer/Lamb in June, Conquest in Sept. & Celtic Frost in October.
Maybe in the future; nice to hear some songs that you'll never hear live again @ a Tool show.

This might actually be too big to have in Pop's. But....... What about making this an outside show!?!?!?!?!?! Come on Mark!! Whatcha think??? I would love to come to this, and know a lot of people from down in southeast Missouri that would love this. This would be a great 80's/biker type party!!!
Posted on May 6, 2008, 2:31 PM from IP address 12.195.120.98
This is the original lineup of Warrant also. I've always wanted to see them, but with Jani Lane singing. Now it can happen!!!! I don't want to overstep my boundaries here, but I actually emailed their booking agent, and gave them some info on Pop's. The guy emailed me back and told me that he would be looking into it!!! Please Mark!! This show would kick ass!!! Outside would Rock!!

We are inquiring about it, for sure. Town is starving for some 80's bands to come thru, in my opinion. We will try, but i can tell ya, they are asking for a lot of jack. So its gonna be a while if we get it done. The money talk has begun, but i must say, we are far apart...cant discuss numbers. They always aim high, we always aim low though, so if its feasible, it will happen...but yeah, working on it.

No, it would be inside. But right now, it would be just way too high a ticket price if we were to confirm at the price its going right now.. We just feel it would be tough to 'get out', which is music talk for not losing money. We will see though, these things sometimes seem to work themselves out. I give it about a 40 to 50 percent chance.

Are they ever going to announce the other bands playing at pointfest??? its driving me insane, also who is on the main stage?? is it going to be like serj, killswitch etc.??
Posted on May 1, 2008, 9:58 PM from IP address 75.129.243.87
I don't think they are going to announce any more bands. Blind Melon was added & that's about it. As far as main stage, it would almost have to be Serj, Killswitch, Atreyu, Shinedown ect. Count on bands like Theory Of A Deadman, Filter ect to get side.

i was looking into this but i hear rumors of motorhead closing the show then again i hear its the full metalmasters tour package, im not 100%+ though whatever the case my be im sure it will be good
Posted on May 2, 2008, 5:50 PM from IP address 70.130.144.36
that was a mistake, its not the whole tour, it is however motorhead and testament. they were going to do the whole tour at the ballpark in sauget but didnt pan out so those two bands are doing their own thing here between dates.
Posted on May 5, 2008, 1:46 PM from IP address 70.240.6.21
It is just going to be an off date show with testament. On the other bands sites there are no stops on the 20th. And why would they be playing ampitheatres everywhere else and then play the pageant here.
Posted on May 5, 2008, 3:27 PM from IP address 24.217.100.180
it is listed as the full tour. but it really wouldnt make sense for them to play at the pageant instead, so i wont be suprised if its just Testament. If i t is im fine with it cheaper tickets for the only band I really listen to on that tour.

Before Disturbed heads out on the mayhem tour, they have a bunch of solo dates. ( with big gaps ) It would be cool for them to play Pops, indoors, outdoors, whatever. Thanks!!!

Sonata Arctica will not be playing with them at Pop's. They are going to be their support for the upcoming august/september tour. Sonic Syndicate will be playing with them.

Just came across this about Course of Nature. They are on the next leg of Hurt's tour supporting them in May/June. I notice that they have Pointfest listed on their myspace and I have not heard or seen of them anywhere as of yet on the adverts. Is this the last Pointfest band? I have never heard of them before. Decent sound.
according to pollstar its sick puppies....again, thats 3 bands now that were on the bill at last pointfest if you include finger eleven who dropped out at the last minute.

I dig MDZ and would love to see them play again but I think it might be a wee bit early for a "reunion" show. I mean, it has only been a couple months. Heres to hoping it is a main stage act that they announce and not a lesser known band that will play one of the side stages @ like noon. This lineup needs a little more sprinkle of kick ass.

Do like MInnesota, or wherever it is, and have people dress up as actors. Cigs are considered a stage prop, and stage props are exempt. I've also heard that they are not sure how to enforce it anyway. Cops don't want to be bothered with it, because they obviously have better things to do. It's not really something that can be enforced.

How can anyone hate Nickelback, they are one of few bands that saved the rock scene over the last ten years, along with saliva, jett, buckcherry, sivertide, shinedown ect.. Bands with talent like these haven't been seen since the 80's. Now that was a time of real musicians and vocalists, a great time to be alive!!!

this is a hypothectical question but if the band H.I.M. came to Pops would the singer be allowed to smoke? Last time I saw them at the Pagent he lit up after every song >.<
Posted on Apr 25, 2008, 4:57 AM from IP address 75.129.225.166
Its always a tough call for us. Most of the time we had issues with bands, it was when they were on stage smoking a joint or something. Im sure we will tell the bands like we do now, that there is no smoking, but then play it by ear. Most bands when we tell them not to do something, you know what happens....makes them want to do it more... So we'll see

The smoking law for Illinois is still kind of sketchy, which is why some places still let you smoke inside because the rules aren't clearly defined which makes it hard to fine people.

I am planning on heading over for this big show tonight, looking forward to it. One thing I do hope is Saliva give the people their $ worth this time around. The last time they played Pops w/ Puddle when Josie walked off the stage after just a few songs really turned me off to them. Hope they make it up by kicking ass tonight. Sevendust is nails every time I have seen them, those guys can slam. Should be a good one tonight.

I do not think it is all dates, when Chevelle was on the Point last week they said they were only doing 1 show with STP and it was here. Solid lineup though, I am going to try and make it.

Well, if Chevelle said the only show with STP is here....and Ashes Divide tour dates says the show here is June 8 on a radio festival.....what radio station is producing this fantastic show??

Tickets go on sale May 3. In addition to STP, Chevelle, Saliva and Ashes Divide, it is reported that Another Animal (members of including members of Godsmack and the singer from Ugly Kid Joe) and local bands Copperview and Cavo will be playing.

It has to be The Point. KSHE wouldn't do this show- it features bands whose fans are less than 50. That is almost as likely as Classic 99 hosting the show.

UFO is going to rocck POP's on Monday night. Last time they were there was an incredible show and this one will be to. Even though Micheal Schenker has not been with them for the last 6 years. They have Vinnie Moore on guitar since then and is a fine replacement for Schenker. He will melt your face off. Unfortunatly bassist Pete Way will not be with them since he could not get a visa for the US leg of the tour. On bass they will have Rob DeLuca from the Sebastian Bach band with them. Phil Mogg's vocals were incredible last time as I am sure they will be this time. So if you are a fan of UFO and were thinking about not going cause Schenker won't be there you are going to miss one hell of a show. So come out Monday night and hear all your favorite hits by UFO done live. You won't regret it.

They also have Paul Raymond on keyboards and rhythm guitar with them. I was just mentioning the current line up that will at POP's tonight that's all.
