"Needs floors and torque boxes, Needs some inner fender metal repair, Needs some front and some rear frame rail patches" is a sign of lot of work, and likely sign of a rusted/leaking cowl which probably also needs to be repaired or replaced - along with other areas needing attention that won't be seen until it's really gotten into. As they say, the rust monster never sleeps.

The good news is that the bulk of the Fairlane metal to be replaced, is available via the aftermarket - so all you need is someone with the skills, and/or pockets deep enough to handle the costs. It's probably fixable if someone wants to do it bad enough, but it's matter of finding the right person.

He should post some good pics of the car and the damaged areas, and describe it as best and honestly as he can, and post it places like here, Woodys, and the Fairlane Club of America to get it in front of the folks that would appreciate it best.
