AAhhhhhhhhhhhh, ok i know the majority of you all are cat lovers, BUT my dalmatian "pepper" is going into labor, but its not looking good guys, we are about take her to the animal hospital. Im so scared, animals ahh the only things that really get me going. arg so please, everyone cross for your fingers!
Daria....I'm a doggie lover and I'll be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed.

I love dogs, too. Beagle pup and a chow chow/sammy/etc mix join the family of five cats, here.

(I've kept watch over one of our cats having a litter - she had 6. I know the nervousness, and can't imagine if something hadn't gone well. So, GOOD LUCK.)
well, she gave birth to one naturally, he was fine, but he passed on about an hour ago. She's at the animal hospital, they said to call back at 3pm to see if she made it. doesnt look good.
She's going for a Cesarian. The doc says the pups are weak but possibilities are 50/50. Aww the look in her eyes, when we were leaving, so full of sadness and anguish i didnt want to leave her.

Ok, so pepper made it! she had a total of 7 but only 3 survived, 2 were putin ICU, but out now. Now we are bottle feeding them, thank you all for crossing Your fingers. we are having a funeral for the 1st born tomorrow morning, but all is well the pups are so far so good. ill have pics soon. wow never thought i could be so enthusiastic about something so lil, ive realized puupies are one of the few things that make me happy.

well, mum is doing good, she actualyl chased me for some food. good sign. as for the pups they are ok. I just got back from the Er with them, one is having a real hard time. doc says he doesnt know if she'll make it. but well trying never hurt any one right? ANY VETS OUT THERE? ill be on all nite with my new babies. teaches me a lesson or two

oh daria, i'm sooo glad pepper's fine! i'm sad for the pups that couldn't make it, but those who could will make your days brighter, mind my words. i know the feeling
my cat gave birth to 4 kitties at home and i helped her. it was one of the most fascinating experiences ever. i cried tears of joy whilst watching at her.... oh animals.... don't they just make us feel alive?

Im sorry Daria.. I have had a cat pass away in my arms before. i remember the sadness and the pain so well and the feeling of hopelessness, that there was nothing you could do. i remember all my babies that i have lost and it's really sad, but... everything happens for a reason. god has a better plan layed out for your baby.
im sorry you have to go through this.

oh daria, i am so sorry! our pets become apart of our family so quickly, and it makes it difficult for us to part with them, even if they were only with us for a short time. take care girl.

Well two is better than what we thought was going to happen on Tues. Or was it Wed? I'm soo off this week. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that the surviving pups and Pepper carry along just fine.

I'm sorry that some of the pups didn't make it, daria. When my cat passed last spring I was holding her, I know how you feel. It's not something that will be forgotten quickly, but at least Pepper and the other two are doing ok, right? You gotta focus on the positive.
Again, my thoughts are with you and the lil ones.

what about the closet? are there any holes or tight spaces in the back of the closet? i don't know why, but I keep picturing the puppy in a closet or a tight space.
we searched for about 5 hours, everywhere and she was outdoors and weak and couldnt walk on her own. and yes we searched everything about 3 times. i even dug up holes ah. gone.

I'm so sorry... may the remaining animals live to see better days. I remember that a friend had a dog that mourned the loss of her puppies for a long time. I hope your dog is more resilient.
