I am not an elitest. I saw them open for Green Day and they were bad. So bad in fact we were laughing. I think I may have enjoyed them if I were drunk (not kidding). However, on that note there were plenty of people enjoying them. I still think they are awful.

no offense sd, but sometimes, in this forum, it's hard to tell when a thread is going to get hijacked by someone who can't be nice. And I'd choose not to read when things turn really stupid really fast, but most of the time, I just stumble upon it. It'd be great to have some sort of respect about a differing opinion, and a good discussion instead of a bash-fest. If I was good enough to predict when the thread gets hijacked, I think I'd turn my prediction powers to something more helpful, like lottery numbers. Heh.

Sometimes another forum I adore is ultra-censorship happy, but sometimes it's nice to know threadjackers won't be so easily tolerated. Ya just can't freakin' win...

well yeah, but we can tell who the hijackers are....usually. our fateful internet groopie(s) that post here and try and start crap ....what i was getting at though is that i like to post my point of view but i think that we (myself included) seem to be ultra sensitive at times about the lamest little bits of info/posts. so i have stated not really taking what ppl post here seriously, eveyone is intitled to post what they want sept for roberts addy (ha ha ha that was a good one) and i like it that way. i like it when ppl post things that i dont like and i like it when i can add scarcasm to the board. differnt oppinions are good, eveyone should have thier own. i just dont like it when ppls get mad cuz ppl bash what others like or believe. thats life, and relationships for you.

midnight - I said "another board" not this one. This one is not censorship-happy at all, but there do seem to be people who need negative attention to fill some weird gap. On the OTHER board, it lacks that, but then if I accidentally slip and say something I probably should have kept to myself, the moderators tend to jump on my ass like I have never seen. That's why I said ya just can't win.

I don't think I'm necessarily concerned with online stuff like I was in 1995, but I do get tired of too much rudeness. It's just that it reminds me of the true state of humans and their relations with each other. Everyone seeks to put themselves above other people, everyone seeks to be part of an elite little crowd that lives in a more valid way than you... And no one can offer even a smidgeon of intelligent discussion on differing opinions. It's loaded on a third board I frequent. My point about being pregnant is that the hormones make us absolutely vicious toward one another and really thin-skinned, and some of those threads are just downright horrendous. There's just no such thing as even slight tolerance - for if we tolerated other opinions gasp it might mean ours is wrong. Which, I don't necessarily believe anyone has it right or wrong on matters of opinion.

It's the underlying condition of humanity that I HATE, and becomes so visible on the internet because everyone feels so safe to say whatever they want, and not face any human consequences, as you would in a real life situation.

The manner in which you choose to share the views (as in, you all suck because you don't agree with me sort of messages *that may not be in the actual written messages, but come across pretty snidely*) is the problem with ALL online forums.

I dont't get it. banned for what? unless it's rascist or sexist or something as extreme, no one should be banned or censored. coming onto a message board and talking shit is no big deal, its an on-line community. my friends and i talk shit all the time to each other. ask pyra and SD about that, lindsey and I say shit to each other all the time that would be considered crude. If ppl were going to get banned for opinions and smart ass remarks, then last summer when CA had a shitload of traffic due to curiosa, doubt or nothing could easily have been banned for their smart ass remarks and opinions, but tose were overlooked cause we all knew they were'nt being serious. like nothing calling whiteofmyeye "cuminmyeye" or doubt intentionally talking smack to ppl who wanted a majority pop/single cure set to get ppl annoyed. or when jax had that topic about columbus not being evil and to the extent of something like the native inhabitants of north and south america deserved it. I can easily ask pope or SD why he was banned cause i talk to them almost everyday, but for myself and other long time members of this forum who have contributed to the community and/or cure related events (meet ups before/after shows, cure nights etc...) we alll have the right to know what was said or done to get banned. thanks in advance!

I am staying neutral on this because I don't know what really happened. The only peeps that get banned on here as far as I know have invaded our privacy by hacking some systems, giving us viruses, or just been flat out annoying and negative to everyone. Now obviously what happened is between Anna and Mike. I understand you wanting to know Kamar but I'd rather not have it posted. I think that we should all be able to post what we want. I'm not going to feel like I'm posting on thin ice here.

i originally banned "him"(?) for posting one ugly comment after another. i'm talking about mindless hateful, personal attacks, not sarcasm. BUT when SD emailed and asked me to to un-ban him, i did (as a courtesy to her). how quickly we forget...

there's a fan forum that specializes in hateful behavior.
people can visit it when/if they wanna do nothing more than pick fights and be nasty - those types should go there and hang w/ the other shitty peeps.
