The members and staff of Club America would like to bid adieu to longtime members of the Cure, Roger O'Donnell and Perry Bamonte. The official announcement was made over the weekend that the Cure will now carry on as a trio. Club America recognizes the fact that Roger and Perry have done so many wonderful things for their fans over the years, such as being kind enough to respond to our incessant emails, granting a lucky few of us backstage access, and filling in the voids. We appreciate them all! WE HOPE THEY ALL HAVE SUCCESS WHETHER IT BE SOLO OR ANOTHER COLLABORATION. WE THANK THEM FOR DEVOTING THOSE TALENTED HANDS AND MUSICAL GENES FOR SO MANY YEARS TO THE CURE. Rest assured, their departure stirs sadness in us all. We sincerely hope they found performing in front of us as mind-blowing as we found it to be watching them.

NOW! on to the next phase of the Cure!!!

The GREAT news is: sources confirm that Robert Smith & the lads have already recorded several tracks for a new album! And there will be a Curiosa type festival tour next year in the UK! So, it is with great excitement we look forward to the next era of fantastic Cure music!!!

respectfully,
Midnight, Jupiter, Blackcat, Lonheat, ThrowingShapes & AnnaMosity

it's business, that's true; but I can't help feeling like a kid hearing that his parent's are getting a divorce. You now you'll still see them, and you'll still love them-but it's not going to be the same. And maybe it's some sort of DE-evolution of the band-completion of the circle of life or something--as Kel pointed out in another post they started out as a trio.

"There are songs without which we wouldn't be what we are. Without which we wouldn't remember what we were. There are objects that hide eternal instants, and when you find them they give you back the past you couldn't reach by yourself. A record has this power. A Cure record, according to some generations."
