I was watching Trilogy and was singing along to Disintigration because I know most of the words, but never before noticed that he changed many of the verses. I was bored, it was midnight and everyone was asleep so I read the 'fantastic plastic' here to make sure I actually remembered the words correctly or if I was wrong LOL But, he changed quite a bit in Trilogy.

Does Robert do that live often, does anyone know? I am notorious for singing along and not really knowing all the words (yeah, I murmer or make up my own, how embarassing I know), with the exception of a few songs, so I don't know if it is common or not. But it made me wonder, so thought I would ask

I've noticed that he has changed words around in live songs before. most musicians do that from time to time. :P i really like it when they do, it makes it fun IMO.

I know all the times I have seen them Live words were tweeked here and there...sometimes its more noticeable....I think the one I remember the most is during my first concert in '92 during "lets go to bed" instead of saying "you think your tired now then wait until 3" he said "then wait Until 6" EVERYONE CHEERED it was a good memory considering it was my very first concert and I was only 14. But I know for a fact hes done other changes not as noticeable. And dont worry I am guilty of mumbling the words at times too and I have pretty much every song ever recorded and have been a fan for 18 years....O man did I just say 18? TIME DOES FLY!

I was surprised how much he changed Disintegration, but it was still excellent of course and like I said, I didn't even realize the 100 other times I had watched it LOL I only noticed this time because I was actually paying attention, having some time to myself (those of you with children understand that....Kelly, I'm sure you do LOL).

Very interesting to hear it happens often. It's all good and I'm sure it helps the songs not be so monotoniss (sp???).

A memorable night for me tonight though, my husband is working late so I ordered pizza. I had some Cure videos on before it came and I left them on when the kids came to sit down with me, and they watched the videos while we ate pizza, rocked out a little, enjoyed the videos (especially Lullaby!) and we had such a great Cure night Normally they would have asked for a cartoon because they hear the music all the time in the car, but tonight was so great!!

i like it though, adds character to the songs.

he changes the words to disintegration a lot. at least every recording i have and have heard live. the best version of disintegration is on entreat, and he changed a lot of words during it. i honestly don't think it's planned, he's brilliant and can easily change things up or make up words that fit on the spot.
