My 2nd pet goldfish Julia (named for my fave British Actress Julia Sawalha) died! It's really sad for me because I only got Julia, along with another fish named Catyana (named after Peter Schilling's ex-wife) only about a week ago and that wasn't very long ago! I hope soon to find another friend for Catyana and give it the same name...

Thanks, I am going to get another companion for Catyana and also name it Julia. I have a Beta fish named Peter (named for Peter Schilling), who lives in a seperate fish bowl next to the bowl that Catyana and Julia shared. I was originally going to give Julia the name Sandra (who sings "Maria Magdalena), but I wanted to name a pet after Ms.Sawalha because I liked her as Saffron in the BBC show "Absoultely Fabulous" and because I am a fan of AbFab.

why don't you try to get a cat or a dog or rat or hampster instead of a fish as a companion??
fish don't live long and you will only endure heartship if you keep getting that attached to a fish.

yeah neither harold nor joe show much reaction when i talk to them.

My mother has some what of a problem with Cat hair and as much as I love Dogs, I tend be fearful of Dogs that I have never been around, so my mother and I bought fish because there is a fish at her workplace and she wants to get a fish so she can have one while she's going back to answering the phone again (She did Customer Service before). Plus, there are already 2 cats in the duplex where I live. But then, I'm looking forward to getting another goldfish and a new friend for Catyana.
