how nuts can loot a store for a friggin big screen tv when there are dead bodies floating by and no friggin power to plug the damn thing in is beyond reason and i don't even have words for the heathens breaking into hospitals at gunpoint to steal
the drugs! the big easy is/was a really cool place but it was inundated with poor people and i know desperate people do desperate things but steal food not electronics that aren't going to work. hell they can't get out of the city to pawn them unless they have a boat. steal that and go out and help rescue people! bunch of friggin idiots! sorry, just feeling helpless and frustrated.

I feel mixed about it. The way you explain it Jup it's horrible to take advantage of the situation. BUT I've also seen people carrying out diapers and food who are looters. So that I understand because it's so hard to get relief efforts together. This is got to be the worst damage we've ever seen in U.S. I've got distant relatives that live in NO and I'm sure they got out but I doubt they are going back. Meanwhile, The Cure are playing tomorrow and Sunday. I read on COF that Craig made it to Texas!!! Thank goodness. We'll help Craig!!!

i'm with you food and water are necessities, but when that woman was busting in to the video store i thought "what the heck are ya gonna play it on, much less you have no power...duh"

cafe du monde is intact....so i will be back for beignets and cafe au lait one day!!!!!!!!
and i will ride the trolly from st. charles to canal, eat a po boy and hear jazz on the
street corner!
