Boy George is facing drug charges again after being arrested Friday in New York. This time the former Culture Club front man, sometime DJ and Broadway star was arrested for cocaine possession in his own apartment in Little Italy.
In a strange turn of events, George O’Dowd actually called police to his apartment in the early hours of Friday morning (October 7). He dialled the emergency number 911 around 3am, and told police that he'd heard noises and thought someone was trying to break into his loft.
While officers were in the apartment investigating, they spotted a white powder that they suspected was cocaine next to a computer. Police returned later with a search warrant based on their observations.
