I like it but it has never been my favorite. My favorite is probably Wish although Wild Mood Swings and Kiss Me arent far behind. It just seems like everyone here lists either Disentegration or Pornography as their favorite. Plainsong and Closedown are two of my favorite tracks from Disintegration.

the Cure has made many fine albums, their poppy albums appeal to me more. Kiss Me, Disintegration and Wish are my favourites (don't know which one to pick). then Staring At The Sea, which in my opinion is the only compilation i need for early Cure stuff. Bloodflowers and Wild Mood Swings are the first two the Cure albums i have, so they are quite special to me. (WMS is not very good tho)

for Disintegration, i think it could easily become a fan's favourite because everything on that album is so PERFECT, every song is beautiful, dreamy and alluring, the mood is dark and mysterious, you can hardly go wrong with it. i won't say the album is my favourite but it's definitely their best album.

btw, try to listen to album in a room in the dark, play it loudly, then you can fully absorb it.

Oh I like Disintegration a good deal, I just like others more. I see what you mean it is a more cohesive album than most but I like albums that have really good individual songs on it. I think Wild Mood Swings is really good, it has some of my favorite songs on there like Want, Jupiter Crash, Round and Round and Round and Mint Car.

is it also because of the material since disintegration is such a moody album? maybe not bouncy enough? sometimes i need songs like The Same Deep Water As You and sometimes i need songs like Hot Hot Hot!!! hehe

i wouldn't say it's my fav. the singles is one of my favs, b/c it was my first. i remember watching the videos....jumping someone else's train...good times. kiss me x 3 is up there, i guess i would have to list my top 5 in no part. order as kiss me x3, porn., singles, bloodflowers, wish ( i'm going to stop typing b4 i change my mind)

I want to be able to say, upon hearing their newest album, that it is my favorite album. It's depressing that we must talk about an album thats 17 years old. ( I do love it though)

There are very serious problems in the world that deserve our attention, and cruelty to animals is one of them. We should try to alleviate suffering wherever we can. Helping animals is not any more or less important than helping human beings—they are both important. Animal suffering and human suffering are interconnected.

depends on my mood but it usually is my favorite but I think I love Wish & Kiss Me X3 more. I also think I love Disintegration so much because of Entreat. I think i'll play something off dis. or entreat tonight.

Wish, by far... with porl back, hopefully things will get back to that 'never enough' 'cut' 'fteot deep green sea' sound. ...even the b-sides for this album would've made a nice 2nd disc.

I dont know if I'd say its my FAV but it was my first Cure album and its deffinately has a VERY special place in my heart that the other Albums will NEVER have. Now that being said My FAV changes depending on my mood. Its usually between Pornography, Kiss me X3, Wish and HOTD. O and add the JTD Box set to that....sometimes I can get stuck on disc One and Two and Leave it in my CD player for Months!

I have to be honest, here... Although I love all the albums (with the possible exception of the last one), Disintegration will always be my favorite. I think I'm a bit biased because it is the first Cure album I ever heard... But I also love the layers upon layers of gorgeous music, not to mention the lyrics! It seems completely flawless to me... I love it!

Disintegration and Pornography - The Cure at their greatest, without a doubt in my mind. Those two albums mean so much more than just music to me - I can't articulate what I mean, I guess thats why they are so personal to me and why I love The Cure more than any other.

I definitely LOVE Disintegration, but I do like the live versions of the songs a bit better, like on Entreat. Outside of those, I'd say Seventeen Seconds, Faith, or Pornography. Indecisive? Yes I am!

It's hard to pick a fave. Right now it's Blooflowers and the album they are working on right now. I know it sounds like something Robert might say cuz he always likes the lastest releases. But on The Cure I felt that they could of gone much further combining The Cure's sound and Ross's influence. Now that Robert is producing it, I have a feeling it's going to be incredible.

I didnt really think Bloodflowers or The Cure were on par with the previous albums. Both records have good songs on them but as a whole I dont think they compare with most of the previous albums.

Desintegration is OK, but I like a lot more 17 seconds & Faith....but like many things it's depends on how slow -or not - a new day is...

Its my all time favorite!!! Reminds me so much of high school. Believe it or not I have good memories of HS. All my friends loved The Cure!

its true that the cure its one of the best groups but everybody knows that robert smith doesn't really care who its in his band i dont know if the cure could be the same with the rencently changes. I only hope that they can stay for a long time.
