okay...that's kinda sad for me to see.
obesity in animals is a terrible thing for us to do to them
they'll suffer all kinds of health problems from being so fat
and die alot sooner than you want them to.
sorry to be a downer but i watch people around here over feed their
animals scraps and shit and poor things have stomach problems,
liver problems, hip dysplasia, and a host of other ailments cause
they want them to be fat like them.

i cut her back two years ago to: 2 tablespoons of nuggets twice a day and one teaspoon of canned food in the evening - and she's fatter now than ever before.
i can't feed her any less, with a clear conscious.

there are half a dozen kitty doors on our street, so i'm sure she's sneaking into someone else's house and dining on the down-low.

yeah filth, i understand that concept...and that is a different story.
my in-laws mutt comes up and tries to steal our labs food and run off with it -little bandit, i've spanked her ass a few times and she finally stopped when my lab bit her on the ass. stuff like that happens.
but some people think it's "cute" for their pets to look like rolly pollies
and i'm sorry but i watched a friend loose her fat cat to health problems from over feeding and she went more nutso than when i lost my dog from epilepsy complications. she still feels a tremendous sense of guilt for killing her beloved cat!

i agree with you Jupiter.
every since my cat got spayed she just gained so much weight.
now i buy her that weight control food and i dont give her treats or soft food very often anymore. I am trying to make her lose some of the weight. i want her to be around for a long time.
I cut back on the amount i give her per day, cuz if i fill her bowl she will just eat and eat especially since it's diet food. She will eat lots of it to get full. but i limit her intake now :P

I understand what you guys are talking about. I don't overfeed him. He gets one cup of dry food a day, and that's it. He gets an indoor formula food. He doesn't eat any table scraps, nor has he ever. I think he doesn't know what to do with anything that's not in pellet form. He has been neutered (a while back), but other than that, I really don't know why he's so damn fat. :-/

what kind of cat is he? maybe he's suppose to be bigger than your
average feline. i use to know some people that had two cats and i'm
not exaggerating when i say they were like freakin panthers. i'd say they
were the size of a medium sized dog. they weren't fat, just big.
they swore they were just your average cats....

As far as I know, he's just a plain tabby cat. I got him from a farm out in the middle of nowhere, so it's anybody's guess as to what else he may have in him.

My cat is just huge!!!!!! He's not fat, although a lot of people says he's fat (he eats very little actually). I asked the vet and he said that he's just a big cat. He's definetely the size of a medium dog...If he was an alley cat (well, he is one, but he doesn't live in the alley) he would be the boss for sure...hehe...
