We just received confirmation today that New Order will be touring in Brazil and Argentina for the first time since 1988 next November.

2 dates in Sao Paulo and 1 in Rio have been confirmed so far:

Nov 13 2006 Sao Paulo, BRA at the Via Funchal.
Nov 14 2006 Sao Paulo, BRA at the Via Funchal.
Nov 16 2006 Rio De Janeiro, BRA at the Fundicao Progresso.
Nov 18 2006 Buenos Aires, ARG at the Personal Fest

Here in LA I saw them twice and they sounded horrible, I was very disapointed and will never listen to their music the same way...oh well...maybe they just had a bad (two bad) days...

Anyway, it comes as no surprise your saying they sounded horrible last time you saw them. In all honesty, I doubt they will sound anything like they did 20 years ago. But then again, they've aged, they're not the same. But that's OK with me, cause this is the first and only time I will ever get to see them. If they suck, I'll still be happy I got to see them

NO live is an acquired taist. you must grow to love the woops, drunken dancing and the off pitch singing. barney is hardly a singer and he knows it. I mean what can you do when your leed singer offs himself. the band went on.... the band is great though, would see them a million times over. they and their fans are loads of fun!

yeah, i hear you on that one pinkcat. DM did the same thing for me that new order did for you. i cant really listen to them anymore after seeing them 4 horrible times. i dont know why i kept going back to thier conserts, i guess i was hoping they would get better but never did, for me.

A lot of people don't take them seriously because they don't get their music, NOBODY can say they are not good live...I understand if you don't get their music, just like I don't get a lot of music out there...but in my opinion The Cure is better live than in studio, and Robert is just as good now as he was in the 80's (if not better)...

I saw DM last year and at Coachella and they sounded amazing to me...Dave is a showman...love him!!!!

the cure is the best band i have ever seen live, and i put them in a different category and dont compare them to anyone else.i would hate all other live shows if i did. dont get me mixed up with another anon, because i'm the anon anonnon.

PC,where you saw dave as a showmen, i saw him as annoying and off key, he sounded like he was shouting into the mic, his veins ready to pop out of his neck. though the last 3 times i have seem them live, the were way better than back in 93 when dave was all messed up with drugs.

i just think its wonderful that there are different types of music out there, everyone has their faves and no one is wrong about what band is the best because we all see things differently.

xmal, go see NO. its a must! and you might like it. if anything the fans in the pit's are crazy fun full of silly boys. good for a laugh.

Oh yes, I am most certainly going to see NO. This is their very first and most probably last time they will ever play here.

I know they won't sound like they did when they started Warsaw. But hey, I don't really care. That was over 25 years ago. People change with age, it's only natural.
