It's unbelievable....What a shame.

he went doing what he did best, what more can someone ask for? My thoughts are with his wife, his baby, family and friends. He will never be forgotten.
he was definately my kind of guy.
if you've ever lost a loved one who had the personality of 10 people, you can relate to the level of despair his family must be experiencing. it's like losing 10 loved ones.
very sad news indeed.

Poor little Bindy and Bob... And Terry, too.
I watched the last bit of an interview with someone from the crew, and the poor guy wasn't ready to face cameras, but trying his best. He looked like he had been crying all night and was about to burst out in more tears. Made me teary-eyed, too.

I heard about it while in Mexico and was so sad. I feel for his family. It is such a shocker, he's the kind of person you think will never die.

oh my god, kind of funny thing just happened as i read the title to this thread. i read it and was like huh? then i read everyones comments and i was like OH SHIT HE'S DEAD?! Steve Sevrin?! then i re-read and saw that it said Steve Irwin, not Steve Sevrin. hahaha i'm tired. Yay, sad all the same, though i'd be much more sad if it were Steve Sevrin.

bah... i mean respects to he's family an all that and the way he tried to save land by buying it all b4 any bugger got it....
but if ya mess around with dangerous animals ya gunna get hurt...you disturb them....they kill you...i dont think he would have wanted to go at all...and espeacially like that...how horrible...
he was silly...extremly silly....
why would you take your baby into a croc den...let alone dangle it infront of one???
or do the mowing in there???.....and when a croc went at him he lifted the mower up as defence....he was disturbing it for no reason....oh maybe for the crowd..
my personal view of experience is that its best to leave em to do there own thing...just leave them alone....there happy...
i dont think i'll miss him....i'll miss he's good carracteristics like trying to save the enviroment and injured wildlife....
but other than that...i dont really care....
although respects to he's family,friends....
i respect him in the fact that he was crazy,,,and didnt care what any1 thought of him....
omg, get over it, you guys! he went quickly, no pain, no suffering, and he died doing wat he loved 2 do. he's in a better place now, in a heaven filled with reptiles . . . let him be happy nowing WE are happy for him, not crying nd mourning. we shouldn't be sad; he wouldn't want that, guys. curely yours,
