Interesting article. But, I still don't consider myself a goth. Cos there is no way I'm gonna become a doctor, lawyer or architect!

I think that pic should have been the cover shot for their 'Aging Drag Queens & Menopause' issue. Goth is like any other label, it's too generalized and brings with it it's own preconceptions. But really, Goth is like a box of chocolates...
It's so annoying when people label you!I guess i don't consider myself a goth because , even though I love black and have a weird sense of humour and i'm into things most of my friends consider strange, there are also other things going on in my life.and I don't want to lose my freedom by putting myself into a category, u know what i mean? If i start thinking i'm goth that's it. I'll never be able to buy a pink shirt again or listen to a boyband or whatever i feel like doing that isn't what a "goth" would normally do.
And i like my freedom, i like the fact that i can have my cure cd's, and my tim burton movies, as well as my britney spears albums and my harry potter books.
so when my lil brother says to me i'm goth (actually he uses the word dark)just because i listen to the cure it freaks me out.
