...until a new "Cure" album is released, suggest some good music that likeminded Cure fans might enjoy. And please provide some documentation, like a link to a youtube video, myspace page, an mp3 or some other way of instantly verifying just how good the suggestion is.


A few random recommendations:

The Durutti Column: a Factory Records mainstay. Their first two albums are great, before he went down the path of jazz experimentation. Here's a few tracks from 1981:

Clan of Xymox: another band with two great first albums, before embracing every embarrassingly cheesy "goth" cliche with their later look and sound. this is a great track, even if it sounds like robert smith and new order shoved in a blender together:

Dead Can Dance: first 3 albums = essential...before the world music influence kicked in. Lisa Gerrard = goddess.

THanks for the Clan of Xymox link. I just love them. A Day is definitely one of my fav songs.
