did anyone catch the satb concert on vh1 classics last night?
it was the original line-up from around 1981, i'd guess - i was so excited to see john mcgeogh (in all his glory) on guitar, i couldn't sleep. budgie was a hottie right from the beginning (i never noticed until siouxsie started boinking him).

it was the banshees in their finest hour.
those were the days.

did they play that song where they make fun of the Chinese? and did Siouxsie sing about there being "too many Jews" for her liking?

Siouxsie and the Banshees....ahhh...that's good old fashioned racism.

"Hong Kong Garden" is not a song that makes fun of Chinese. From what I understand, there was a real Chinese resturant near Sioux's home called the "Hong Kong Garden". All the punks/skinheads used to mess with the workers there and Sioux didn't like that so she wrote the song in their defence.

The song with the "too many Jews" line is "Love In A Void" not "Israel".

She doesn't hate everyone but I've never heard of her meeting fans. But that's ok. Not everyone can be grateful to us bastards who aren't millionaires yet make her one...OOps did I type that???

meeting fans

Arc, if you don't think Ms. Sioux meets or cares for her fans then you aren't looking hard enough. For years she has done autograph sessions and met with fans. She and Budgie ran the Gifthorse fanzine and even recorded 2 songs just for the fans. (The fanzine had to end due to lack of time to work on it. They were in the mists of the "7 Year Itch" tour and were also working on the Creatures album. But Sioux was a good sport to the end and even helped mail out the packages--got her initials on the green customs slip. So our Ms. Sioux put in a "all hands effort" for us fans.:P Can you imagine any other rock star millionaire stuffing envelopes all day?!)

I think the thing is, Sioux doesn't make a big fuss or announcement when she does a signing session. I'm sure she appreciates us and just wants most meetings to be private moments between her and her fans and not some headline splattered all over the local gossip column.

do you really think she's a millionaire?
i got the impression they were on hard times - and at her age, slipping headlong into menopause, that's got to mess with your head.

i seriously doubt they've got much money in the bank - certainly not multi-millionaires (like our beloved rsx). their record contracts were pretty weak. last i heard, she & budgie were living in a caravan (trailer) in france (somewhere close to the beach)... with their cats.
i was thinking how sad it was.

in the early 80's she was a terrible diva (& rightfully so).
she seems to have lightened up a bit w/ age.

i worship siouxsie

Oh maybe I was wrong. I always heard they were mean to fans. Thanks for setting me straight. I dunno if they are or aren't . I guess it depends on a lot of things...

Millionaire?

Very funny, Filth.

Sioux and Budgie live in Toulouse, France. Near the river in a home they actually remodeled themselves. They live with Sandy, Spooky, Spider and Dandy. (Beano ran away years ago. Sioux hopes he found a loving home and not the wrong end of a car or cat hater.) They also have a housekeeper named Claudine who watches the house and cats whilst they are away. If they can afford a babysitter for the cats, I'm sure they have good money. Housekeepers are not cheap! :P
