Why? Korn?March 18 2007 at 6:25 PM | jason (Login jaysonC) Club America - the Cure FC |
| I was really disappointed to see The Cure on that Korn Unplugged thing. I cant really think of much worse than Korn Unplugged and why on God's earth would Robert Smith want to be a part of this. Korn sucks and Unplugged, man thats just unnecessary.

korn is on the same lable as the cure and before the unplugged session, RS said he liked korns music. maybe he will get them to play with them when they play the pacific rim this summer |

maybe he did it because he likes them, and they are big cure fans and so it was a cool thing to do like when rsx got to sing with bowie. before you start slinging mud, keep in mind that the difference between korn and us is that they have a band and we have a mssg board. |

ya gotta figure that someone living on a rockstar trip (like rs) prolly isnt comfortable around regular peeps (like us). so who the heck is he gonna roll with? others who are on a rockstar strip (like the dudes in koRn), thats who. he even said in the rag interview that the reason he did a curiosa festival tour was so that he could spend the summer hanging w/ other rockstars of his choice.
so, even though i dont like koRn either, and it seemed an unlikely match, i totally understand why he would wanna do the unplugged show w/ them... safety in numbers... sanctity in the familiar... etc

The difference between me and Korn is that If I had a band to release a record, mine wouldnt suck. Robert Smith has made some brilliant songs, I for the life of me cant understand what he could respect about Korn. Hopefully he doesnt feel the same way about Limp Bizkit also. | |
