no flunkie XXL and no big surprises. BIG POP cure showed up to rock your cocks off with the easy-listening likes of just like heaven and inbetween days...bor-ing. no new tracks--what? butterflies? out of this world back in the setlist, double boring. want is a good one to bring back and the big hand is a sign that, yes, Porl is indeed back in the band. nothing they haven't played before though, even if it is one of the few b-sides that's been given a live airing in the past. i bet all the girls swooned and cried though..because what else are they to do but fulfill their likely role as good cure fans and have their own private wank over any dumb shit the band does like be good POP ICONS. I bet it would've been REALLY SPECIAL if Korn(hole) showed up for an impromptu collaboration.
and now Bobert is having a wank from Asslee Stimpson. does anyone even care anymore? i'm still waiting for the HEAVIEST ALBUM EVER. what price fandom?

This sounds like it could have been a fun show. I wasn't expecting a lot of what they played to be considered, with it being a dance festival and all that. It's still too early to hear new songs, since we don't even have any kind of date for the new album. Maybe the new album will never appear, who knows?
The Ashlee Simpson thing (farq, you ought to check out Chain of Flowers more often) disturbs me because with the Shakira rumors, that was a one-time thing. To hear Simpson's name resurface is disappointing. But it was a fucking magazine, and not from an official source, so I'm still holding out hope that Robert isn't feeling that much like killing his career.
And what is up in so many forums lately with the misogyny? It's very cool right now to think what women like is automatically shit. Is it because of the wartime, uber-masculine phase we're in? Heaven forbid women like something, and of course intimidating other men out of liking what women may or may not like because this might indicate they're not real men is so popular right now. Damn.

This girl wishes The Cure played a longer set last night.
