I'm waiting for Robert to say when the relase date is-which he already has-Fall or Winter 2007. Wonder who starts these things? And wonder why Craig would bother posting another rumor? Well tell the cheescake I said HI! Robert did confirm the album won't be out this year during his only TV interview in Australia. I'm disappointed. Robert gave the impression to the interviewer that we all won't mind about the wait. Uhhh...I disagree... Even if it's the greatest Cure album ever made it will be the longest we've ever waited for. I was hoping Craig was wrong this time. And I honestly wouldn't of cared when the album was released if Robert didn't give us dates, months, seasons, or years when it was going to be released. And then not release it.

I'm sad because it's a wonderful experience to hear a studio track 100 times and it's your favorite new Cure song-then you hear the first three notes of it live and that just makes the concert even more special! And now we won't hear any new studio tracks before this tour. I was hoping for a new track in Miami but it was The Big Hand. Midnight called it! Anyway. Old Cure songs are wonderful to see live-but NEW tracks...who wouldn't want to hear some after all these years? Maybe we'll hear some bootlegs of new songs from the East coast shows...

isn't that just indicative of the way that bands are expected to perform live? go out promoting the new album but not until the album is out?

of course, in the olden days, the band would be writing new material all the time and performing new songs before each album was released.

Wow. I never knew that was the way bands played in the olden days. I thought I was old enough to know. Yeah, that is the ideal. Love and Rockets was one of the very best concerts I've been too. I heard their studio tracks and they played them live a little faster and heavier. LIKE THEY WERE PLAYING THEM LIVE!!! That to me is the best live show. But how would anyone know that unless they hear the studio tracks first?
