1) "________________ was the beginning of the stereotypical Robert Smith "teenage funeral parlor" sound."

2)"repeat the same four-bar theme for sixteen, twenty-four, forty-eight, sixty-four bars before Robert Smith starts to whine, wail, warble, work."

3)"it was recorded after the sudden death of one of Robert Smith's favorite relatives"

4)" the stylistically diverse _____________ sailed to No. 12 in the U.S. pop charts without the aid of their usual breakout single.

5)"______________ showcases the Cure as a guitar act while keeping their signature sound intact: boiling brooders, psych-rock freak-outs and love songs."

6)"is a dark listen, but not self-consciously so -- the band (especially Robert Smith) sounds comfortable and inspired."

7)"It's a great collection that captures the band's early jumpy, Post-Punk sound and worth owning"

8)"his music, which on this album runs from New Order rip and electrodisco pseudo-strings to guitar sounds and many lands, isn't rendered any more normal by its exceedingly skillful deployment."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
