i just talked to the rat-bastard scalpers i bought my front row seats from (fairfax, va), and they said that, ordinarily, they don't refund resheduled shows, but the "vendor" agreed to issue my card a full refund ($388)!!!

YAY!

i feel so much better now.
i'll be suprised if they tour in april/may, so i prolly would'a had to eat those seats.

i wonder who the "vendor" is?

I think you owe Robert a thank you since I'm sure he authorized refunds from ticketmaster and the scalpers. Most artists would tell anyone who bought from scalpers that they are sol if the show is cancelled/postponed.

It's complete bullshit that the travel ins that Annon bought for her own Cure tour didn't include any kind of credit or refund. What the hell do they insure? Your shitty breakfast?

well, to be honest, i think the scalpers are on the inside... the way the tickets were ticketfast but had to be mailed... and there is no tracking info (name, addy, etc). madonna got busted for scalping the first 10 rows @ her own concerts.

i'm thinking it's the thing to do now. the tickets were selling well, but i was wondering how the heck they made money doing a half-house tour. it costs like, a bazillion bucks to put a band on tour (+ equip & staff). 10,000 seats @ $60ea ain't adding up.

in any event, i don't care who scalps as long as they're cool enough to refund.
and i posted on the official forum how grateful i was for what i was able to get refunded. but, i'm sure it got lost between the name calling & insults.

so, today was a good day.

Hummm, I don't know if I should try to get a refund for my tixs...
My hubby thinks it's better to just keep them for next year so we don't have to go through having to find best seats/prices, but what if they decide not to play at all, or what if we have problems using the tixs (getting the same seats, etc...)
Any ideas??

yeah i dont know either pink....
if they keep putting it off, and putting it off you could get a refund at a later date.

im sure they will refund the tix anytime...

and i know you said your not comming up but.... if you deside to come to the download fest,
your more than welcome to stay at my place, though may be a bit crowded. just wanted to let you know....

Lets go far instead

Hey I have a crazy idea!!!

Let's go to Europe in the late winter and see them there. Then we can see one show close to our homes over here. If Robert's plans come through the last day they play Europe will be March 20. Such a cool day for us Club Americans:) two of us anyway!!! Flights are cheap in the late winter...459 round trip!!!

i bought a group of tickets straight from ticketmaster ($450+) ~ they put no deadline on refunds. i bought two front-row seats from ticketsnow (scalpers)($388) and they said all refunds "MUST BE REQUESTED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF CANCELLATION ANNOUNCEMENT"

so, like i said ~ with the way the cure has missed all deadlines for 2yrs, i have serious doubts about whether they'll actually tour next spring. if they don't, i don't wanna eat $900 i spent on tickets. i don't expect anyone to reimburse me for their ticket (which i bought for them so we could all sit together) if the tour doesn't happen.

i'm VERY happy to get refunds right now & worry about the tour next spring.

Anon, thanks for the offer, but I'm not going to SF...I'm still deciding on what to do with my tixs, and to tell you the truth, I lost my excitment to see them any time soon, I know I'll be excited to see them next year, but I'm not going out of my way and spend more money to see them now.
