Do you ever expect to hear another TRULY GREAT song from The Cure?
I'm sad. I think Robert and Co. creativity has expired. They will go down in history amongst the greatest and most original musical artists ever, but they're done I'm afraid. Should have wrapped it up after Bloodflowers was so mediocre.
Timmy,
I think they aren't dead. A lot of eras that The Cure has been through that produced great music are dead though. I'll give you that. What is your favorite of the new songs? Are you willing to hear different music from them that is not going to be the same but still be incredible music? I seriously think The Cure is great with Robert. With Robert and Simon-incredible. With Robert, Simon, and Porl-yeah right they suck-THEY ROCK! Robert, Simon, Porl, and Jason? Started off kind of odd for some of the songs but I HONESTLY love the way they sound now. Jason was bloody perfect at RAH! And I like all the parts on the new tracks. It's kind of hard to judge the sound from boots though. But I like rock and moody synth music equally. So I am VERY EXCITED to hear the whole studio album. I am very optimisic about it.

Oh yeah. I love Bloodflowers. Why is your screen name from Wild Mood Swings? I feel that Bloodflowers was A LOT better than Wild Mood Swings. I have to been in the mood for them each though. I love Wish, Pornography, Kiss Me, Bloodflowers, These next three are all tied-Head On The Door, Faith, Disintegration. Yeah shoot me now for not agreeing with Cartman but oh well. Does JTD's count? That's way up there if it does!

I have been a Cure fan for 20 years. This band are real musicians and have a sound that is like no other. They have stayed around for a long time while other bands have come and gone.
I might not agree with some of the stuff Robert says but I still think they have a few good ones left in them.

I think they have great pontential for great songs. I do agree that some of their albums have had some hit or miss songs (The Cure, WMS, HOTD) when compared to masterpieces like Disintegration Or KMKMKM, but they do have some gems on the album or B sides, Want, Return and Trap from WMS,the Promise Anniversary and Going Nowhere from The Cure. If you ask me if they have another masterpiece left in them, I don't know, but I really hope so

the man has made what, 13 albums that's like 300 songs with the unrelased stuff i think, he is bottomless when it comes to music, that's alot of fucking music. who's to say what is to come, maybe he'll blow you away. so stop guessing and just enjoy the songs you do like and give the new album a chance when it gets here
