In the early 80s my godmother bought me a cure album from France. I as a big cure fan at the time (still am) and bought lots of rare records, etc so she knew I would like it.
It is a live recording, the cover is pale green with 4 dark green shadowy pictures of men in suits. It has no title other than each picture on the front having 'the cure' written on it. It has some french writting on it as well, and "made in france"
The song titles are: grinding halt, plastic passion, do you wanna, boys don't cry, i'm cold, midnight in the subway, killing an arab,, happy birthday, a forest, 10:15 Saturday night, play for today.
there is no date on the record. the label (in the middle of the vinyl) says it is produced by Primary Productions and says PP5250A and features kids drawings of mum and dad. Although there is no date, Rober Smith on the album draws reference to Simon Gallup turning 20 so that means the disc must be from 1980.
does anyone have the faintest idea of what I have? I can't find it on any discography
it might be a bootleg, or at least thats what im guessing. sounds like a fun album! im a bootleg junkie

Whenever I go to New York I go to a few record stores that carry vinyl and always see variations of different shows. I havent seen that one, but at one store there where like 6 bootleg vinyl records that werent on the cures official discography.

Hey,
I bought that album--the cover is different (it has a labyrinth and is called "Final Romance", but the track list is identical. Simon's 21st birthday in Australia. I bought it in Strasbourg in France around 1993. My copy might be a special pressing, since it's on crazy see-through yellow vinyl.
