Greetings,
I will be posting the following on thecure.com message board, but I'm so excited about the news I wanted to spread it as much as possible to other Cure fans:
Finally, material not included on the recent remasters series (such as the track "Killing an Arab" and the entire Concert and Japanese Whispers albums) will be available in a digital remastered format soon!!! Thanks to the good folks at Universal Japan, on 19 Mar 2008 there will be a series of 11 Cardboard sleeve reissues from The Cure featuring the latest remastering, bonus tracks, the high-quality SHM-CD format, and cardboard sleeve replica of the original UK LP artwork. Part of an eleven-album The Cure cardboard sleeve reissue series featuring the albums "Three Imaginary Boys," "Seventeen Seconds," "Faith," "Pornography," "Japanese Whispers," "The Top," "Concert-The Cure Live," "The Head on the Door," "Standing on a Beach," "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me," and "Disintegration."
SHM means Super High Material; which -- if I'm correct -- I believe is the Japanese equivalent of SACD (and supposedly also playable on standard CD players too).
