What is the seating arrangement going to be?

I just bought 2 tickets with the fan club presale. Each one individually.

They both said:

Section: ORCH
Description: Price Level 1
First Level Orchestra

Then when I went to look at my ticket purchase details, as I was logged in to "My Ticketmaster"
1 says "Row 6" and the other says "Row 10".

Are these going to be actual rows in the orchestra or is this just for numbering purposes? For instance, my Santa Barbara ticket says "GEN AD GA5 41". I presume that this means General admission area row 5, seat 41? But I'm sure they're not having general admission seats. I'm guessing (hoping) this is just for counting purposes?

there is a pit. the tickets for pit are marked pit and you must have an ID to pick em up at will call. rows 6 and 10 art good seating though and the lower the number seats the closer to the center you will be. odd numbers on left, even on right, seat 1 being center seat 40-41 or higher being far right, far left. congrats

On one hand, yes, these tickets are not that bad, however, my feelings are that things surrounding the sale of these tickets were a misleading.

My first attempt to get tickets was through the FAN CLUB PRESALE area.

Initially, Ticketmaster.com tells me that ORCH section seats are being held for me for "x" amount of time.

It did not say anything about actual seats.

I checked the seating arrangement which mentioned nothing about a PIT section.

Before making a purchase, I moved quickly to check what was available through the KROQ PRESALE area.

I saw that the KROQ presale area actually had row and seat numbers in an ORCH section.

After going back to check again under the FAN PRESALE area I still saw the same thing.

ORCH section with no seat or row designation (see the first image above).

So, I don't know if I could be considered just an idiot consumer fan, but, I just figured "Hmmm... the fan presale seats as of yet do not have any seat or row designations, the KROQ presale area does have seat designations, and the seating arrangement chart/map, doesn't say anything about a pit, just an ORCHESTRA section up front, so, with the site saying ORCH without any seating designation, well, this must be it!"

Hmmm... very thoughtless of me... I'd better check again because my girlfriend might like to go.

Oh look! Still the same tickets! ORCH section with no seat designation! Must be another great standing area ticket!

Now that I am through with all that excitement I had better check everything out in the MyTicketmaster section to make sure everything is good in my account.

This is not what I bought. Yes, I now understand as people are saying that the pit tickets actually say "PIT" But what the hell?

Damn. Well fuck me. I saw no designation about seating in the tickets being offered. I saw no PIT designation on the Ticketmaster.com provided seating chart. Nor does it say anything about a PIT on the Shrine auditorium page. Just the same thing. "ORCHESTRA" where I guess this pit section is going to be.

I remember when I bought my Santa Barbara "PIT" section ticket it said "GEN AD STANDING ONLY". Even though the Ticketmaster.com site doesn't have a seating chart that reflects a General Admission section, the SBbowl.com site shows it. So, makes sense to me. No big deal. Yeah, I got the ticket and that was all that mattered to me because it worked out.

I just think the Shrine pre-sale was misleading.

If I didn't have a new episode of LOST coming at me to calm me down this Thursday I'd be ballistic.

Midnight has magic cure powers though. I made the mistake of buying one at a time. got 1 pit ticket then couldnt get another one so i started doing two seats together thinking i could at least sit next to a weirdo that i know and not some random one that wants to sing along to every song and talk to me about there cats. I miss the days of having to sleep outside the box office with the scalpers and a handfull of fans! Now I find myself taking a shower after ticketmaster rapes me. guess its not all that bad though, I get to do it all again tomorrow. yeay

I missed the presale and am sooo sad. I would love to have a pit or loge ticket to the Shrine show. I am willing to trade a general admission ticket to the pit at the santa barbara show or a great seat at the hollywood bowl. Pool A Row 5 Seat 5. If anyone has one extra please let me know.
