lets give thanks to the native americans, who so graciously (and willingly) gave up their way of life, their customs, traditions, religon, and language, because they knew that we would obviously be better at this whole running of a nation then they were.
and we should also give thanks to them for willingly giving us the right to claim this land as "newly discovered', even though they had been here, living happily, without disease, for generations.
oh, oh, oh!!!
we also need to thank them for handing over all of the land that they so graciously exchanged for the less than 50 million acres we returned to them (assuming they now pay taxes to us)
so yes, lets all give thanks!
thank you american natives, for geing so giving and hospitable!!!

***correction:
i was just looking on the internet, and i may have been misinformed about a couple of those facts in that last post...
it looks as if we actually came over and concurred, raped, and murdered them and then stole their land and way of life.
***oops.
sorry about that last post not being fact-checked before i posted it.

I'm grateful this year that I'm not working and I'm with my family. The only thing I wish I could of done is volunteer but it's hard with a full house and you are a visitor.
p.s I've been talking about this with my native american boyfriend and in actuallity the very first thanksgiving didn't even involve the natives of this land. It took place in Florida in 1565 with spaniards thankful for their safe trip, not until the 1620s did the whole pilgrim thing take place and that isn't even properly taught in schools either.

Hey cool, that's similar to what my native american friends have informed me.
