i'm gonna say yes, myself & three friends are planning to go... sunday only.
however, i have no idea how i'm going to pay for it.

all the hotels are booked up already, the closest you can get a $300 room is 7 miles away. my husband wants us to camp (yea, right). plane tix cost $175 more if you wanna fly into palm springs (i think we'll fly into san diego & drive).

does anyone have any feedback on potential hotels?

i wonder will it be possible to get a cab from our hotel to the polo grounds (& back)?

Fire you want to tell Filth how much fun you had camping? I will never camp. It was 108 last time The Cure played at Coachella. It cools off to what? 80? Yikes!

@ wamu in indio on that sunday the cure played the temp said 117. i camped.... i have never been so sick in my life...wait. scratch that.....never had the heat make me fell like i was going to die. even the air conditioner in the car was like 90.

dont camp. i tell ppl this and they dont listen.....oh well.

i have a hotel booked, but i dont know how to transfer it to another person but if you can figure out how to do that, its yours.its like 150 a night @ the quality inn in palm springs

you dont want to take a cab......you will never get home and it will be one expensive cab fare

Heat??? Shoot 117 is NOTHING to us Phoenicians... you all just need to thin out your skin like me, haha but then you will freeze your ASS off when you go home to your 60 degree weather (i'd die living in a place that was under 50 degrees more than a few days a year, buurrrrr)

60 degrees is freaking balmy compaired to what i walked out into this am......frozen car....good thing i got a ice scraper @ the dollar store.

when out friday night and it was 50. didnt even ware a coat...it was like spring time! or a summer in san francisco!

I went to the Hockey game on Tues, its pretty cold inside but bearable but then we came out at 10pm and had to walk to our car, a bazillion miles away and it was MAYBE 50 degree's it was windy too so I guess you can figure its a bit colder. I couldnt function my body kept getting stiff and my jaw was chattering I wanted to die! My husband who can handle the cold a bit better than me was having a hard time too. TO FREAKING COLD!

I'll take the heat.

now i remember why i hate festivals.

@ inland invasion, we got back to our hotel @ a reasonable hour because we lucked out & found a cab who would drive us back for $50 ($50 well spent, as far as i'm concerned)...

but ppl were stopping by & picking up their t-shirts through around 4:45am ~ and they said they just got through the concert traffic!!! it was ok & everything, cause we were awake & partying, but we were appalled it took them a few more hours than us to get out.

If u can get a hotel, please do so.
U will be using the showers 3-4 times a day on the campsite, keeping ur body drenched in cold water constantly, and freezing at night in ur tent.

I was ONE of those STUCK at Inland - we didnt even turn on our CAR for 2 hours.

We stayed in Ventura (so we could do the beach on Sunday) and Didnt get back to the hotel until 5am - it totally sucked! That place has the WORST exit EVER!

I'm just glad I live in southern California

im glad that i have time share that has two resorts in palm springs!

im also thankful for air conditioning, shaded outdoor patios, and pools that have water slides!

i will be in palm springs all weekend, but will only be at the festival on sunday.
im too old and my tolerance for stupid people is way too low to attend all three days.
but i figured that since i am getting the townhome, i might as well make a weekend out of it and give my friends a place to crash, right?

BTW anononononon: the waterslide is at the other resort (less than a mile away).
we are staying at the brand new (more house like-less hotel room like) resort.
but we have access to both during the day.
if you want to go over there, i will go with....but i would rather DIE than be caught in a bathing suit OR in the sun.
but i can watch and cheer you on from the bar.
